Who is Sahirah?

Sahirah was a healer and a humanitarian, who loved learning about the secret essence of life. She welcomed everyone who crossed her path with a no nonsense, “let’s get this done,” attitude. Sahirah was an avid reader, who looked for the contradiction in everything she read, heard, or seen. As a small child she was placed in an orphanage, and later raised in numerous foster homes. She never allowed her past to cloud her here and now approach to love or life.

 Sahirah’s Message:

“Living from the heart – What is that- what does that mean? The heart pumps blood throughout our bodies, it does not think or judge or rationalizes, it feels and loves without conditions, merit, or reason. The heart is accepted to represent feelings an unseen quality that houses strength and durability.  It is also connected to the intuitive self which is seen and unseen.

I made a commitment some twenty years ago to consciously be guided by the unseen forces of light, which meant putting my ego self aside while I allowed the rest of me to observe whatever unfolded, moment to moment, day to day, here in a new town, a new state and one considered the whitest state of the United States an interesting situation since I am a Black Woman.”

This benevolent and courageous woman, my mother, taught her ten children to aspire to greatness. She believed there were no limits to what could be accomplished, and to never cower in the face of adversity. Independence was her golden rod and love her shield for protection.

                                                                                                                        Thank you, MOM!
